Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) made up about 7.0% of new light passenger vehicle registrations (down slightly from 7.9% in February).
Plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) accounted for 3.6% of new registrations (down from 7.2% in February).
Total EV market share reached 10.6% of all new light passenger vehicle sales.
New Zealand now has 122,866 EVs registered, including:
85,916 BEVs
36,950 PHEVs
EVs represent 2.52% of the total vehicle fleet in the country.
